Real Life or a Painting?

I was at an outdoor art show the other day and was displaying some of my recent work.  The artists were all sitting down to lunch when a Mountain Bluebird came and perched on my cedar painting.  We were all laughing that the bird had thought it was a tree.  

Progression of Three Paintings

Here are some pictures of two different paintings in progress.  I enjoy taking pictures along the way.  When I paint a commissioned painting I often send the customer some of the "work in progress" pieces when the painting is finished.
